Herbs to Whiten Your Yellowish Teeth Naturally

Regular coffee and wine consumption, smoking, unhealthy food, improper brushing or flossing can all cause yellow stains and discoloration of your teeth.

Luckily, there are natural ways to clean and whiten your teeth. Here are some of them:

Herbs to Whiten Your Yellowish Teeth Naturally

Bay leaf

You need one bay leaf and a citrus fruit. Crush the bay leaf into very small pieces. Also, crush the citrus fruit peel finely (it can be lemon or orange) into a powder. Combine the leaf and the powder together and brush your teeth with this mixture three times a week.

Guava leaf

Guava leaf has whitening properties and is also good for bad breath. The procedure is simple. Take a leaf and crush it with a mortar and pestle to make a paste. Brush your teeth with this paste.

Strawberries

Strawberries have powerful cleaning properties. Simply take 2 or 3 strawberries and crush them to make a paste. Brush your teeth with the paste two times a day for two or three weeks.

Olive/ Sesame/ Coconut Oil

Oil pulling is one of the most effective ways to naturally cleanse and whiten your teeth. Take a spoonful of olive, sesame or coconut oil to your mouth and swish it to your teeth the same way you swish your mouth regularly. Do this for 15-20 minutes every morning.

Turmeric powder

Make a paste from ½ tablespoon of turmeric root or powder and small amount of water. Use this mixture to brush your teeth.

Baking soda and lemon juice

Mix tablespoons of baking soda with spoonful of freshly-squeezed lemon juice. Apply this mixture to your teeth using toothbrush. Let it act for one minute and then wash your mouth.

Licorice root

African people use licorice root to whiten and clean their teeth naturally. Chew on a small piece of dried root until you create a small brush. Use this improvised brush to clean your teeth or simply keep chewing the root.
